This does a very good job of personifying modern Machineguns. Great job as always, MOAB.

so the for-grip has the mag release button? Won't that cause problems?

Nah, mag release is the button just in front of the trigger guard. Releases the magazine locks on the opposite side. So if you were right handed, you'd manipulate it with your trigger finger and then tilt the gun to the left so that the magazine, which is on that side, falls away.

The trigger release on the fore grip is for its rail grippers, so it can be easily attached or removed.

any hints, as i'm currently lacking of any 'real' LMGs?

Best I can offer is to look at any existing modern LMGs, like the LSAT, MG4, Negev, Mk.46, M60E6 etc, and mix and match (and slightly modified) their components.

I started this remake out with an M60 as the base before adding in the short feed tray of an LSAT, Mk.46 style forearm, Para SAW style stock, AR-15 dust cover and so on.

Then it's just a case of altering the aesthetics to suit your taste/setting.
